Privacy Policy

DeffeLova is a memory keeper designed to help you capture the stories behind your cherished belongings by combining photos, names, and personal stories on a beautifully organized timeline. You can create, search, and share individual memories.

The Services are intended for users who are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a user under 17 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

A. Account Information (Provided by You)

• Name
• Username
• Email address

B. Customer Support Information (Provided by You)

• Content you submit when you contact us (such as messages, screenshots, and attachments)

C. User Content (Provided by You)

• Photos you upload (for example, pictures of your belongings)
• Titles, names, descriptions, and personal stories you write
• Metadata you choose to include with your memories (such as dates or labels)

Important notes about photos and faces: We do not perform facial recognition and we do not create or use biometric identifiers. We do not use your photos or stories for advertising/marketing profiling. Unless you choose to use an optional server-processing feature (described below), your content is designed to be stored locally on your device by default.

D. Automatically Collected Information

• Device information (such as device model, operating system version, language, and app version)
• Usage data and analytics (such as feature interactions and performance metrics)
• Crash logs and diagnostics (to help us fix bugs and improve stability)

E. Location Information (Only If You Permit)

• Precise location (where supported and permitted by your device settings), or
• Approximate location

You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings. If you do not allow location access, location-based features (if any) may not work.

F. Cookies, Similar Technologies, and Web Beacons

If the Services include web-based components (such as a login page or embedded web views), we may use cookies and similar technologies (which may include web beacons) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and improve security and reliability. You can typically control cookies through your browser or device settings. Some features may not function properly without cookies.

DeffeLova may offer optional features that process your uploaded text and/or images on DeffeLova Team’s own servers to generate or enhance content (for example, formatting, summarization, or story enhancement). If you choose to use such features:

• We process your uploaded text/images only to provide the requested output.
• Processing occurs on our own servers under DeffeLova Team’s control.
• We do not share your uploaded text/images or generated outputs with any third party.
• We do not use your uploaded text/images or generated outputs to train advertising systems or for marketing profiling.
• We delete the uploaded text/images and related transient processing data immediately after processing is completed, except where you choose to save the results in the App.
• You control whether to upload content and whether to generate content using these features.

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services (including creating accounts and enabling core features)
• Personalize your experience (such as remembering preferences)
• Improve the Services (including debugging, analytics, and product development)
• Secure the Services (including fraud prevention and access control)
• Provide customer support and respond to requests
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as necessary and in accordance with this Privacy Policy:

A. With Your Consent

We may share information when you direct us to do so (for example, when you choose to share a memory with someone).

B. With Service Providers (Processors)

We may use trusted service providers to help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, or customer support tools). These providers are permitted to process information only on our behalf and under contractual obligations that limit their use of the information to providing services to us. We share only the minimum necessary information with service providers.

C. For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, protect rights and safety, or detect/prevent fraud, security, or technical issues.

D. Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms to protect international transfers.

8) Security

• Encryption in transit and, where appropriate, at rest
• Access controls and least-privilege practices
• Regular security reviews/audits
• Backup and recovery procedures

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Account information: retained while your account is active.
• Account deletion: we will delete or anonymize associated personal information within 30 days, unless we must retain certain information longer to comply with legal obligations.
• Usage analytics: retained for up to 12 months.
• Customer support records: retained for up to 6 months.
• User content: retained according to your choices (and, where applicable, stored locally by default). If you use optional server processing, uploaded content is deleted immediately after processing as described above.

10) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access and obtain a copy of your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete personal information
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent), including for location access

The Services may allow you to share content via third-party services (for example, messaging or social apps). Your use of third-party services is governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

12) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective Date" when changes become effective. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.

13) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where DeffeLova Team is primarily established, excluding its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration institution, conducted in English, except where prohibited by applicable law.
